Seat Pitch by Airline

Seat pitch is defined as the distance between a point on a specific airline seat and the same point on the next seat forward. Loosely translated, that means it's a very good indicator of the amount of leg room you'll experience on a particular airline.

While seat pitch, even in similar cabins, varies greatly between airlines, typical seat pitches are between 30-34" in coach, 36-40" in short-haul first/business class, 50-60" in long-haul business class, and 60"+ in long-haul first class.

Our interactive seat pitch table shows typical seat pitch figures for over 200 world airlines. For airlines with varying pitch throughout the same cabin, a range has been included, showing the low and high ends of the spectrum. Please note that these numbers show typical pitch only, and in some cases, a specific airline may feature certain seats with lesser or greater pitch.

The list is sortable by clicking on the column headers, and in instances where FlyerGuide.Net features a photo/review section for a particular seat type, that pitch value is a clickable link which will take you to a list of that airline's matching seats.

You may also view the specific seat pitch values of all aircraft in an airline's fleet by clicking the green 'Expand' icon by the airline's name.
